Greetings, knitdarlings!
I'm alive and moved into my apartment; there are still kinks that need to be worked out (like where do I find bookshelves that aren't ugly as sin?), but I've at least got dialup now.
Knitting hasn't been going well. I'm in a rut. I have a bunch of projects on the needles and FIVE of those are for other people*, and I'm bored of them. I'd like to knit for me, but I've no idea where to start and suspect I'd get bored right away anyway. I don't like knitting ruts, because I hate to think I could ever stop loving knitting. We're just having some issues with our relationship, apparently.
In the meantime, I've been reading a lot, started a new semester of school, working more hours, going out almost every single night. Things are good.
Things are digital camera-less, however. What's a knitting blog without pictures? I will try my best to round something up, someday. In the meantime, I should concentrate on making things to take pictures of.
My Christmas knitting was a success! My future-ex-sister-in-law loved the Pussy Galore scarf (though she just thought it was leaves...) and my aunts loved their scarves. Interestingly, each scarf coordinated exactly with the outfits they wore Christmas Eve. One of my aunts has requested another scarf for a friend, and my uncle who owns a Ben Franklin is interested in having me knit samples for the store.
Our Knitting Night has moved to a new location:
2nd Moon Coffee Cafe
23rd and Franklin Avenues
Minneapolis, Minnesota
7pm - ?? (usually 9:30 or 10)
**all skill levels welcome**
Happy knitting to you all!
*Working on:
- Jack's enormous socks (on the decreases of the FIRST one. My boyfriend has enormous feet (yes, he's my boyfriend now!))
- a black furry non-bucket-o-sheet bucket hat that I'm being paid for (whee!)
- my best friend's Christmas present, STILL (almost done!)
- cute red mittens for Jack's friend who has tiny hands like me
- another diagonal scarf out of Fusion for my aunt
