Rogue was started almost as soon as my Cascade 220 arrived at my door. But, like I suspected, it's doomed. I had heard reports that Cascade 220 wasn't a good choice (after I had ordered, of course), and, really, it's not. I need something a little stiffer and with a little more texture. My cables are okay, but the yarn is just too sleek and polished for tight cables. I guess I'll be making a green top-down v-neck raglan with this yarn. I really need to make Rogue because it's an excellent pattern and the cables are so fun. I'd really like to use Jo Sharp Silk Road Aran Tweed, but I really can't afford that right now. I might end up using Bartlett Yarn of some sort, even though I won't be able to wear it next to my skin like I was hoping.
I cast on for the Koigu Alligator Shawl that has been laying in wait for several months. After I knit a row, I realized, "Hey, this is going to bore the hell out of me." I think a better use for this would be the Charlotte's Web shawl. Although I prefer rectangular ones, I also need something that will keep me interested.
I'd really love to make something out of Silky Wool. Someday...!
Knitting tonight with the girls was a good time, though my caffeine wore off too soon. I worked on Rogue until I realized I'd never be happy with it and put another inch or so on the boyfriend's second sock.
