Charlotte's Web is damn near finished. I have half of it blocking right now (I only have pins enough for exactly half). I shall finish blocking and put on fringe and then I'm D-O-N-E-DONE. Last night I learned crochet in 30 seconds (which shocked me - the last time I tried I just could not get it) and I just finished the edging a wee bit ago.
Crochet is fun! I see many little snowflakes in my future.
I made a mistake, though - the crochet on one part of the edge is a little too tight, so it's not going to want to block perfectly triangular. It'll be a rhombus of sorts.
I figured out something very important yesterday: I don't need to stash as much as I do. I'm going to work on getting rid of most of it (*crosses fingers for a digital camera to come my way soon*), likely on eBay. Most of the stuff I bought I like, but I'll never get around to using it. I'm learning my preferences. I like to make socks, lacey things, funky and quick scarves, and small items. I'm not much of a sweater gal, unless they're complicated. I'm not going to make sweaters out of bulky yarn or with cotton yarn on size 5 needles. Why keep what doesn't inspire me? I'm going to make more of an effort to buy-as-I-go, or at least only stock up on things I KNOW I will want to use in the future (like lace weight and sock yarn! Mmmm!).
I hope to be able to share pictures with you soon.
