Daily fiber therapy - the confessions of a knitting geek.

Knitting: I'm actually doing some. It's a small little design all my own, and maybe I'll try to get it published. I hope it turns out.

Spinning: Not yet, unfortunately! It's only been a week since my wheel was shipped, although it feels like a year. I did buy a bit of fiber on eBay today, a bold white silk/purple and black wool blend.

Politics: I'm immersed in them lately. Check out Knitters For Bush. Contribute your stories and links. It'll be fabulous.

For the record, whether or not someone agrees with me politically doesn't matter. What does matter is whether or not they can treat other opinions with respect and think critically about what they're hearing, from any source.

Shopping: Amazing Threads in Osseo, Minnesota (soon moving to Maple Grove) is having a sale this weekend. Hallelujah! I've been waiting anxiously ever since I got a postcard in the mail (which also entitles me to enter in their drawings... wish me luck!). I hope their Bamboo yarn is on sale; I was eyeing it before but couldn't bring myself to buy it, especially since I had stash to liquidate.

Selling: I think that almost all of my transactions from eBay and the private sale have been completed. Whew! I tell ya - selling through your own website is a lot more efficient than going through eBay, and a hell of a lot cheaper. Although I had to pay PayPal fees, at least I didn't have to pay auction fees on top of them. Providing free shipping, although sometimes not-so-good (as can be seen in the example of the linen fabric I sold for $15 and it cost me $11 to ship), certainly made things a lot easier. I can't imagine having to weigh packages or even make educated guesses about how much things would cost to ship.
