*tap, tap* Is this thing on?
Oh, hi! I didn't expect to see you here. It's been, what?, three weeks? Yes, I'm alive. No, I haven't quit knitting. (I was briefly tempted to after having Sophie eat more yarn and realizing that I never, ever have time to knit... ever.) In fact, I've even finished something.

There you have it, folks - the Viennese Lace Shrug from the Summer '05 Interweave Knits. I used four skeins of Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece (which I both love and hate). I have no idea what my gauge is, because I'm pretty sure I never measured. This is evident in the extraordinarly length across the back of this thing. I should block it, but I'm afraid of the new lengths it may achieve (but maybe I could throw it in the dryer and see what happens). It may be big, but it's comfortable and warm.

I've reached a milestone with the Crichton cardigan - one whole repeat finished. Only one million to go! I'm going to lose the race against Becki, I'm sure. Darn those small girls and their smaller-sized knitting! Hers might be prettier than mine, too. If nothing else, it makes me wish I would've considered picking my own colors. How many purple sweaters do I need?

I started my Sockapaloooza sock for the millionth time last night, and I can't say I'm pleased. I'm tempted to just whip out a sock of some sort and be done with it, because I'm not satisified with anything else. This sock isn't entirely bad, but I'm worried I'll run out of yarn (particuarly because Sophie ate a chunk of it). I should probably keep going and see where it takes me; after all, they're supposed to be ankle socks. I had no idea how difficult it was to NOT make lace socks.

This weekend I'll have two days off, and I vow to drag out my spinning wheel and work some magic. Shepherd's Harvest is coming up (Bobby, you should come up here for it!!), and Yarnover is a month before that, and I need some new fiber. It only seems logical to use up some of the stuff I already have first. And, er, to finish my wheel.
