And so it begins...

I'm entering the world of blogging. I've kept a Livejournal for two years in September, but I'm intrigued by the world of the Knitting Blog. There's an entirely different community out there, full of people sharing awesome pictures and information, and it's all about KNITTING. Sure, there are communities on Livejournal and other LJ's devoted solely to knitting, but it's just not the same. Mainly, you don't get the same exposure. There isn't as much flexibility, either.

So, I'm here. I got things working, and as soon as I get over the grippe I'll work on more hardcore journaling.

I'm so sick I don't even have the desire to knit! How horrible is that? I was, however, gifted with a fabulous idea while coming out of a post-nap haze yesterday: instead of leaving Cleo - my current project - straight and boring after the lace band, I'm going to split the sides a little, add a bit more interest and sexiness. I decided to put a back on it because no one needs to see my back chub, and this little solution will definitely spice it up. Of course, I figure this out when I'm ONE ROW from being done. Ain't that how it always is? For the record, I'm using Sonata, a cotton DK from Elann in phlox and claret, and it looks pretty darn good. AND it's only taking exactly four balls of each, even with the back and my DD-sized cups. I'll look like such a hussy, and in the very best way! Oh, I have eyelets going down the sides, as well. Two rows on each side. I managed to mess them up occasionally, but no one's going to know unless I tell them. Will I tell them? Probably.

I could write for ages about my project possibilities. I shall, however, save some for later.
